  Dr. Easton came into the room and without looking at me or introducing himself, began asking inappropriate questions about what I do for a living and such things.
  I had some concerns about getting x-rays. He stated that he x-rays every patient annually and could not treat me otherwise. He would also not treat my 8 year old without x-raying him every year (no matter what) He stated that my teeth were healthy and didn't have a reason to do x-rays, except that's his policy. I should also add, that he had records of my last x-rays from a year ago, which showed nothing of concern. The ADA and FDA do not recommend x-raying every patient yearly. It should be based on the need. There are studies linking dental x-rays to brain tumors and other cancers. Of course, I didn't get to discuss this in detail with Dr. Easton because he was very defensive. It is always the doctors right to refuse treatment to anyone, but he could have handled communicating with me more professionally. I would not recommend a doctor that cannot handle patients that voice their concerns. I have since found a better dentist that is respectful and answers questions without being rude.
